Yankees Have Offer Ready For Burnett

According to the New York Post, the Yankees are preparing an offer for A.J. Burnett for five years worth nearly 80 million dollars. The Dodgers already have 140 million dollars on the table for Sabathia, and sources believe they will pursue Derek Lowe as well. Believe it or not - the Yankees have the money to sign all three! The Blue Jays, Braves, Red Sox, and Cardinals are also after Burnett, who, according to sources, will wait till CC Sabathia signs before making a move.

This past season, Burnett was 18-10 with a 4.07 ERA in 35 games.
