Dodgers Trade For Sweeney
The Giants traded pitch hitting specialist Mark Sweeney to the Dodgers for a player to be named later. The Dodgers are trailing the Diamondbacks by 4.5 games heading into tonight and adding someone like Sweeney to come in at the utility role for the rest of the season should benefit the team. "Being with a contender and doing the utility job, it's a lot more important and has more relevance with what you do when the team is winning, rather than building." Sweeney said. This season, Sweeney is batting .247 AVG with 2 HR and 10 RBI, but has played first base, left and right field for the Giants.
