eli, what are prior's projected stats?

these are really realistic considering what the nl west is made of. i like adrian gonzalez, break out.

Adrian won't hit that many home runs. He WILL hit for a higher average. He worked out with Tony Gwynn the last few weeks prior to Spring Training. He wants to be more selective and go the opposite way (a la Gwynn). He'll hit .305, 24 HR, 90 RBI.

Prior's projected stats: minimum of 180 days on the DL, followed by endless towell drills, soft-tosses and the occasional "be back soon" pronouncements from hopeful team management. Once activated, there will be reduced velocity accompanied by mysterious aches and pains and followed by varied periods of "rest" for the non-functional body part of the moment. The season will end with an announcement that he is "on the mend" and should be ready for the 2009 season, where he will undoubtedly win 28 games and set new strikeout records.

Hairston has a lot more potential than that if he gets the job in LF.

I think Bard will have a higher average as well.

It mostly looks pretty good though. Will be interesting to see if Young can stay healthy or if Headly can steal LF.

c'mon eli Kevin Kouzmanoff is gunna have a breakout season at least batting .300, but otherwise i like your projections and its great to see tad iguchi making an impact again

Kooz will hit more than 300, Headley will also take over LF. Edmonds will not do as well as projected.

Such a boring team to watch...yet they somehow pull off a good season for the past couple of years. I think they'll sink this year though because the NL West is now a beast.

The most boring? How so? Both the Dodgers and Diamondbacks had worse offensive statistics and worse pitching in 2007.

I guess you need to have name recognition in order to be exciting...

name recognition? Pad's HAVE name recognition, heck they always go for the washed up old leftovers of other teams.... edmonds, clark, maddux.....
thats funny
