Jason Giambi Out For Year
The Yankees staff has made a mistake on Jason Giambi's injury. The tear in the arc of his foot is much worse, and will not only take time to heal, but time for him to gain strength back in his foot. The "band" that was torn connects the heal to the toes, and it is so a severe that it his walking will be limited for the next month, before it is reviewed again. He will probably be in a boot until early August, then will have to rehabilitate into September. If the Yankees make the playoffs, it is possible that he could be ready then, but still unlikely. This season, Giambi batted .262 with 7 HR and 23 RBI with 1 SB.
