Padres Sign Prior

The Padres and Mark Prior have agreed to a one year deal worth one million dollars. Clearly this deal shows that he wanted a change of scenery because he would have gotten twice that in arbitration.

More details soon...

While it is obvious that Prior wanted out of Chicago, probably because he couldn't stand the heat of the truth there; he didn't have the option of arbitration because the Cubs didn't offer him a contract. The latter probably because almost no one could stand the uppity sob!

what a great singing. and prior is in a division where pitching overshadows the hitting.

I think it was great move by the cubs to non-tender him and I think that it was a mistake by the fathers to sign him. I wish him the best, but I know it's going to be the same thing over and over for him.
