Jason Schmidt to Dodgers

According to Ken Rosenthal, the Dodgers have signed Jason Schmidt to a three year deal, worth 47 million dollars. Schmidt went 11-9 last season with a 3.59 ERA with the Giants. Schmidt will probably turn into the number 1 starter if the Dodgers are able to trade Brad Penny.

yes! that is just awesome. we now have a true ace. going back to starting pitching is what we're all about. now hopefully we can trade penny and land a big bat. i've read that the dodgers are willing to part with penny + 2 prospects for manny. any comments on that one?

Penny+Matt Kemp and another top pitching porspect such as Billinsgley for Vernon Wells could be a possibility

that would never happen.

The cubs are screwed as they always been. Now they have to get and Ted Lilly and I don't think he is as good as everyone says he is. Also, there is going to be a lot more competition in the NL due to all the voluminous signings.
