Yankees, Red Sox Grumblings
The Yankees and Red Sox both had a productive Tuesday. The Yankees have made a one year offer to Andy Pettitte, worth about 15 million dollars. The Astros have also reportedly made an offer but the numbers were not disclosed. The Red Sox have yet to finalize anything with Daisuke Matsuzaka, and it appears nothing will happen until next week. According to Steven Phillips, it appears that Julio Lugo will sign with the Red Sox to play shortstop next season. He had an offers on the table from the Mets and the Cubs.
