A-Rod Not Slowing Down

A-Rod has yet to level out his power swing belting not one, but two homeruns against the Devil Rays. Yes, making that 14 homeruns on the year. He has tied the Major League record for homeruns in April and there is still seven days to go. Despite hitting two home runs and driving in three, the Yankees were not able to overcome the Devil Rays. Kei Igawa struggled yet again for the Yankees, giving up seven earned runs. Devil Rays third basemen Aki Iwamura was 2-3 with an RBI. B.J. Upton had a great game leading the Devil Rays to the victory batting successfully in 2 of 4 at bats, and driving in four runs. He and Rocco Baldelli both had homeruns. The Yankees drop to 8-10 and have lost four straight.
