The Red Sox have contacted free agents Carlos Lee, Rich Aurilia, Mark Mulder, LaTroy Hawkins, and J.D. Drew. However, a lot depends on if they land Daisuke Matsuzaka. Money will be completely different and it will change who they go after. I see them pursuing J.D. Drew and Rich Aurilia, but beyond that, I don't know.
