LaRue to Royals, Pierre to Dodgers
According to Ken Rosenthal, the Dodgers and Juan Pierre are close to a deal. It is suspected that his deal will be worth around 5 yr. 8-9 million per year. He could possibly be a down grade in center field after the season Lofton had. Loftan led every category in stats except steals. However, Pierre has only missed one game in four years. Also, the Royals have reportedly landed Jason LaRue for a minor leaguer. Would LaRue be a backup? He had a terrible 2006 and Greg Zaun is a free agent who has expressed interest in playing for the Royals.
