Prices Rise, Angels Might Turn To Trades
The Angels, who lost out on Aramis Ramirez and Alfonso Soriano, are looking to add more power to their lineup. After the money Soriano made from the Cubs, Drew and Lee's price tag just went way up. The Angels may now turn to trades to add their power. They have the pitching and farm system to forfeit a prospect or two to land Miguel Tejada, Andruw Jones, or Vernonlls Wells. Art Moreno may make a offer to Drew or Lee, but will work a trade to land one of these premier all stars. I expect his work to be done around the Winter Meetings, when most players have already expressed where they want to go. Boston's Manny Ramirez remains possible, but Epstein will want something that could help him swing another deal for someone to bat behind Ortiz.
