He cited health reasons as his decision, noting that he had his stomach removed in 2006 due to cancer. Oh has earned the respect of players and fans all around the world. It isn't just because he hit 868 homeruns in his own career, but because he works closely with every player on his team to win. Kenji Johjima, his former player, said that Oh played a major role in his baseball career.
Oh never played in the United States, but is regarded as one of the best players to ever play baseball in the history of the game.
