When it appeared that the Mariners were the leading candidates to land
Aubrey Huff, they traded for
Jose Vidro to fill the void at DH. The Orioles, who lost out on
Moises Alou and
Luis Gonzalez, will make sure they land Aubrey Huff. Huff batted .267 with 21 HR and 66 RBI with Houston and Tampa. According to WTGM in Maryland, the Orioles have made a two year offer, worth 12-14 million dollars. With the outfield full with
Jay Payton,
Corey Patterson, and
Nick Markais, Huff will most likely be their DH.
