Padres Make Offer to Marcus Giles

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Padres have made an offer to Marcus Giles, worth about three to four million dollars. The Padres appear to be the favorite to land Giles, who's brother is the starting right fielder. Giles, who batted .262 with 11 HR and 60 RBI became a free agent when he was non-tendered.
