The Chicago Cubs have reportedly made an offer to free agent left-hander Ted Lilly. Lilly's agent, Larry O'Brien has met with
Hendry more than once and they are passed preliminary discussions. He says they do not expect anything to finalize until the Winter Meetings. Lilly is drawing interest from the Yankees, Blue
Jays, Orioles, Rangers, and Giants. O'Brien may counter their offer when they meet next week. However, he also plans to meet with J.P.
Ricciardi and some other teams. Lilly went 15-13 with a 4.31 ERA and 160 K.
