Justin Speier High on Red Sox Wish List

The Boston Herald is reporting that Justin Speier is considered to be a possible canidate for closer of the Red Sox. Since Papelbon is going to start and Foulke was not picked up, he would be a great option if they cannot bring in a closer. He knows the AL East, having pitched in Toronto, and he proved could pitch successfully. He did a great job in the set-up role for the Blue Jays. He had a 2-0 record with a 2.98 ERA and 55 strikeouts. He pitched in 58 games and gave up 17 earned runs, 5 of those, homeruns. He would be a good pick-up for the Sox, who cannot rely on Clement, and will need a solid bullpen behind their starters.
