According to FOXSports.com, the Dodgers are expressing interest in Jack Wilson, which suggests that they are pulling out of the Rafael Furcal talks. Wilson is a good fielder but an average shortstop at best. He is coming off an oft-injured year, but hit .296 in 2007 in 135 games. The Dodgers would have to give up a prospect or two to get Wilson and cash. Wilson will make 7.25 million dollars that comes with a 600,000 dollar buyout (8.4 M club option).
The Tigers are also talking with the Pirates about Wilson, but the Dodgers may be more willing to acquire, especially if they don't have to pay little to no money for him.
