According to Ken Rosenthal citing major league sources, the Braves would pursue Rafael Furcal in the event that they acquire Jake Peavy and lose Yunel Escobar. Furcal only played in 36 games for the Dodgers this past season, hitting .357 with 5 HR. Furcal spent six seasons with the Braves before signing with the Dodgers, and is currently being pursued by at least ten other teams, including the Athletics, Blue Jays, and Cardinals.
Despite spending most of the season on the disabled list, Furcal can probably get a multiyear deal somewhere.
