Free agent pitcher Odalis Perez is drawing some interest on the open market, but says he would like to stay with the Nationals. The White Sox and Yankees have reportedly made offers to Perez, but it is believed that he is working on a two or three year deal with the Nationals. Perez went 7-12 with a 4.34 ERA in thirty games for the Nationals, but lacked the run support that would have made his numbers look a lot better.
The Nationals are also pursuing a big time power hitter, and it is believed they will target Adam Dunn, a product of Jim Bowden's from his days with the Reds.
