Johnson to Cubs?

According to Ken Rosenthal, the Cubs have interest in free agent pitcher Randy Johnson. Johnson is 3-0 with a 1.00 ERA in four career starts at Wrigley, but the Cubs also like him because he is an experienced veteran who could take over in the five spot. While bringing in Johnson would be great for the Cubs and the city, it probably would take starts away from Jason Marquis, who is coming into a contract year after a strong second half.

The Dodgers are also reportedly interested in Randy Johnson as well, and that might appeal to Johnson geographically. We'll see what happens, but a one year deal worth about five to seven million dollars.
