According to the Seattle Times, the Mariners will name Athletics bench coach Don Wakamatsu as their new manager in a press conference tomorrow. Wakamatsu is very familiar with the AL West having coached with both the Athletics and Rangers. He is also a former ballplayer, having been a catcher who reached as high as Triple-A in the early nineties.
Wakamatsu will probably start to name his coaching staff after the Thanksgiving break.
