- Contrary to reports, the Angels have not made offers to free agents Paul Byrd or Pedro Martinez. The Angels are interested however, and will continue to discuss their possibilities internally.
- Free agent Dave Roberts is set to interview for a job at the MLB Network. A veteran player with playoff and World Series experience - should be a solid pick up for them.

- The Rangers have claimed Darren O'Day off waivers from the Mets. He was their Rule 5 pick from the Angels, so he must be kept on the 25-man roster or he will be offered back to the Angels.
