According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Braves will pursue a free agent pitcher and their number one target is Derek Lowe. Lowe is one of the best pitchers available and would desperately help the Braves, who may not have Smoltz, Glavine, or Hudson next season. The Braves also have interest in Matt Cain, but will likely target a free agent before trading their youth.
