Maddux Heading To Texas?

Brewers pitching coach Mike Maddux is set to be a free agent tomorrow and is expect to be a hot target. Maddux has established himself as one of the best pitching coaches in the game, and it is obvious by his handling of pitcher CC Sabathia, as well as young pitcher Manny Parra. The Rangers are very interested in Maddux and hope he will sign soon after his contract expires. It is possible the Brewers will try to bring him back, but only if Macha does not have a candidate he thinks is better.

One possible option for Macha is to bring in Leo Mazzone, who worked with Glavine, Maddux, and Smoltz during their days with the Braves. Signing him could lead to one of those veteran pitchers coming to finish their career with him.
