Angels Sign Korean Pitcher

The Angels made a big international splash this week signing Korean pitcher Pil Joon Jang. Jang, 20, is one of the best young amateur pitchers in Korea. He has a strong fastball, and a solid slider, but lacks the command to get to the next level. He might go pitch for one of the instructional teams in Australia or in the Dominican Republic, but the Angels expect big things from him once he becomes more confident and familiar with his stuff.

He will probably end up with the Single-A team next season.
