The Cubs have some interest in Athletics shortstop Bobby Crosby, the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting. The Cubs have several options up the middle, so the A's would probably need to eat most of his 5.25 million dollar contract. Crosby hit .237 with 7 HR in 145 games for the A's last season, and made 17 errors at shortstop. I expect the Cubs to play this one slow, hoping the A's will release him. Stay tuned.

I can't believe the Cubs would give up Ronny Cedeno and then go out and get another shortstop. This doesn't make much sense to me.
do we really need him?
what about peavy?
i thought those talks were brought up again?
What would happen to Theriot or whoever Crosby would replace?
