Mariners, Cordero Agree To Deal

The Mariners and Chad Cordero have agreed to a one year deal, FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal is reporting. The Mariners intend on making him their closer, which means Brandon Morrow will likely stay in the rotation. Cordero was courted by nearly a dozen teams this offseason, despite pitching in six games last season. Cordero owns a career 2.78 ERA with a 128 saves in 305 career games.

Cordero will be 27 next week.
