Quick Hits

-Ryan Ludwick's struggles so far this spring have been, as Tony La Russa described it, "just a mess" the St. Louis Dispatch reports. Ludwick is almost certainly feeling the pressure of his expected increased role in the Cardinals offense this season. Spring struggles often mean nothing, but it would ease some fears if he would start getting some better swings.

-Front row seats at the new Yankee Stadium will cost $2625 (!) Associated Press reports. How anyone would pay that much for a single seat at a regular season game is beyond me, but the Yankees reportedly had sold 3500 out of 4300 as part of season plans before sales slowed as the recession intensified. The lowest priced seats go from $11-27.
