Baseball Prospectus is reporting that the Astros are on the verge of signing free agent veteran Pedro Martinez. Astros GM Ed Wade told me, as well as several other outlets, that the Astros had to make serious cutbacks back in December. To think that they are going to sign two future Hall of Famers is a surprise, and should give them some momentum early on in the season.

He would look better in an Indians uniform :)
I heard at best he is a 5 or 6 inning pitcher. So the bullpen will get a lot of work when he pitches.
