The Athletics are reportedly closing in on a one year deal with Orlando Cabrera, the SF Chronicle is reporting. Cabrera is looking for a deal close to Edgar Renteria's deal - which is 9 million dollars annually - but the A's are looking for something closer to 6-6.5 million dollars. Cabrera really doesn't have any other options, so it is likely they will come to terms on a deal before Spring Training.
