Pirates Pursuing Ohman?

The Pirates are still in talks with free agent lefty Will Ohman, according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Ohman, who went 4-1 with a 3.68 ERA in 83 games for the Braves last season. What makes him particularly valuable is that he held lefties to a .200 average, and had a 2.89 ERA on the road. Ohman doesn't get many strikeouts, but he had a 1.24 WHIP and had just 22 walks. He makes for a good middle reliever who can bridge the gap between the middle and late innings for the Pirates.

The Pirates already have four lefties fighting for spots - Grabow, Burnett, Dumatrait, and Rule 5 pick Donnie Veal - so Ohman might not necessarily make sense.

We need ohman back on the cubbies. I'm not sure that cotts is gonna be our solution to get lefties out. Will is pretty good at getting left handed hitters out.
