The Oakland Athletics have entered in a formal partnership with the Rakuten Eagles of Japan. The agreement allows teams to share information pertaining to player development and analysis. The teams can also exchange baseball operations staff, as well as coaches, conditioning specialists, and the medical team. Time will tell if the agreement will lead to any advantage over their competitors.
