The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Cubs and Kevin Gregg have agreed to a one year deal worth 4.2 million dollars for 2009. Gregg, who will compete with Carlos Marmol for the closer spot, will be a free agent next season. The Cubs gave up one of there more promising young pitchers in Jose Ceda for Gregg, so if he can't find success early he could be in for a long season.
