The Red Sox have traded David Pauley to the Orioles for pitcher Randor Bierd. In 29 games last season, Bierd was 0-2 with a 4.91 ERA, but is just 24. Pauley doesn't have much of a fastball and his secondary pitches don't fool major league hitters, so he probably won't have much of an impact. However, he is a starter and the Orioles need more of them after trading Garrett Olson.
