The Phillies and pitcher Ryan Madson have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a three year deal worth about 12 million dollars. Madson went 4-2 with a 3.05 ERA in 76 appearances last season, followed by a 3-0 record with a 2.13 ERA in 11 postseason appearances.

I WONDER IF BORAS HAD MADSON REJECT THIS DEAL LAST WEEK AND MADSON CAME TO HIS SENSES. IT'S WOULD BE DIFFICULT FOR A RELIEF PITCHER TO FIND MORE THAN 4 MILL A YEAR.
