Two-time All-Star Sean Casey has decided to retire. Casey, 34, hit .322 in 69 games for the Red Sox last season, and is a career .302 hitter. Casey would have made for a solid pinch hitter off the bench for the next couple of seasons, as well as a nice mentor for younger players.
For the time being, he will join the MLB Network.
