Cashman Heading To SF

According to the Hot Stove Blog, Yankees GM Brian Cashman got on a flight to San Francisco to meet with CC Sabathia, suggesting that a deal could be close. This is the third meeting in three days for the Yankees and Sabathia, with no concrete deadline set for the six year, 140 million dollar deal.

Word around the meetings is that Brewers GM Doug Melvin did not increase his offer to CC Sabathia. Angels owner Arte Moreno told reporters that they will likely not make an offer for Sabathia while the Giants view him as a fallback option.
