The Marlins, Pirates, Tigers are the finalist for free agent pitcher Derrick Turnbow. Turnbow has struggled over the past three seasons, but owns a career 4.30 ERA in 257 appearances, making some think a change of scenery is all he needs. Turnbow has had success in Dolphin Stadium, and may intrigued by the idea of playing out of the NL Central, which could hurt the Pirates' chances. The Tigers are also pursuing other options, and one executive said he would be "surprised" if the Tigers land Turnbow.
