According to industry sources, the four teams left in the Turnbow hunt include the Marlins, Tigers, Rockies, and Pirates. Turnbow had a great 2005, compiling a 7-1 record with a 1.74 ERA in 69 games, but struggled in the years following. He struggled in 2008 in both the majors and Triple-A, and a change of scenery is his only hope. The Marlins reportedly have the inside track, but the Pirates could easily swoop in and lure him to one of his former teams division foes.
Nothing appears imminent, so stay tuned.
