Source: Talks Progressing Well With Farnsworth

According to a source, talks are progressing well with relief pitcher Kyle Farnsworth. Farnsworth, who went 2-3 with a 4.48 ERA in 61 appearances, is reportedly drawing serious interest from the Royals. Farnsworth is the late inning reliever the Royals need. He mixes his hard fastball with a hard sinker and splitter; while there are doubts about whether or not he can pitch on back to back days, Farnsworth has improved his control and will likely get better by working with Royals pitching coach Bob McClure.

The Royals are also interested in Brandon Lyon and Juan Cruz.
