Ricciardi: Money Is Tight

I caught up with GM J.P. Ricciardi of the Blue Jays and we talked for a minute about the upcoming season. "Most moves are going to be in house," Ricciardi said. At shortstop, they plan to go with Marco Scutaro, who hit .267 with 7 HR in 145 games this season. Reports suggest that the Blue Jays are gearing up for a run for Rafael Furcal, but sources tell me that they will have to wait for his price to fall because they do not have the money to compete with other interested clubs.

The Dodgers, A's, and Royals are also interested.
