Dodgers Pursuing Garland, Wolf

According to Dodgers.com, Dodgers GM Ned Colletti would like to add a veteran starter and has targeted Jon Garland and Randy Wolf. On paper, the Dodgers have a lot of starters: Billingsley, Kuroda, Kershaw, Schmidt, Stults, and McDonald. However, Billingsley has a broken leg, Kuroda has tendonitis in his right shoulder, and Schmidt has only made six starts in the last two seasons. Both pitchers are going to come relatively cheap, probably between 8-10 million dollars annually.

It is possible, if the Dodgers choose not to sign Ramirez, that they could sign both pitchers and still have money for Dunn or Abreu. The Cardinals are actively pursuing Wolf, so his price could shoot up if there is a bidding war.
