The Reds and Wily Taveras have agreed to a two year deal, making him their new center fielder. Taveras, 27, stole 68 bases for the Rockies last season, but only hit .251 with 1 HR. However, he is a career .283 hitter in five major league seasons. If Taveras can get on base and steal his way into scoring position, he will create great opportunities for their big hitters to drive him in and put themselves in a position to score runs as well.
