The Indians have reportedly made an offer to reliever Joe Nelson, the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting. Nelson, who was non-tendered by the Marlins after going 3-1 with a 2.00 ERA in 59 games, has drawn interest from at least 18 teams. However, his agent told reporters that the Indians are one of his four preferred teams.
Nelson, 34, is probably looking at a two year deal worth around 3-5 million dollars.

the Indians need a starter, not another reliever. I have no clue as to why Mark hasn't contacted Brad Penny or Jon Garland.
